Naturopathic doctors
Naturopathic websites that stay inside the advertising standard
Naturopathic advertising standards are strict about claims, and enforcement is real. A site that promises to treat or cure named conditions, or that leans on testimonials, creates licence risk for the practitioner. We write naturopathic pages that describe what you do and who you help, within the standard, reviewed by a naturopathic doctor.
What goes wrong
The problems we see on naturopathic clinic sites
- Claims about treating or curing named conditions that the College does not permit.
- Testimonials and before and after content on template sites.
- Booking that is not obvious.
- Service descriptions that use terminology the College restricts.
- No structured data or local presence.

What we mean by thisSoftware your practice may already use
A naturopathic clinic runs a practice management system for booking, charting and payments (Jane, Practice Better or OptiMantra), with a supplement dispensary (Fullscript, Unytii), insurer claims (TELUS Health eClaims) and laboratory services (LifeLabs) beside it. The website connects to booking and the dispensary and explains the rest.
Keep the software your team already uses. We review your booking, intake and patient portal tools before proposing the website. Your proposal identifies the connection method for each tool and any vendor requirements or additional costs.
| Software | What it does | What a patient does from your site | Website route |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jane Jane Software. Clinical or practice system. | Booking, charting, billing, payments and virtual care. | Book through Jane hosted booking from a link or the button code Jane generates, by practitioner, location or service. Jane has no open API and does not support a full calendar iframe. | Link or button Connect with us to discuss your individual or enterprise needs. |
| Practice Better Practice Better. Clinical or practice system. | Booking, forms, charting, care plans, programs, payments and virtual visits. | Book through service, package or program links, a public booking page, or the Embedded Booking Widget the vendor documents. A REST API exists in beta for separately scoped work. | Link or button; Vendor supported embed; Direct connection Connect with us to discuss your individual or enterprise needs. |
| OptiMantra OptiMantra. Clinical or practice system. | EMR and integrative practice management: booking, charting, portal, billing and inventory. | Book from the clinic or location booking link, button or iframe the vendor documents. | Link or button; Vendor supported embed Connect with us to discuss your individual or enterprise needs. |
| TELUS Health eClaims TELUS Health. Adjacent service. | Insurer eligibility and electronic claims, used by your staff through the provider portal or a certified practice system. | Nothing on the website. The site states your direct billing policy and lists the insurers you bill directly, without promising coverage. Availability depends on profession, region, insurer and configuration. | Explained on the site, not connected Connect with us to discuss your individual or enterprise needs. |
| Fullscript Fullscript. Adjacent service. | Online supplement dispensary; not a clinical record. | Open your Canadian dispensary from a link or the vendor's button; orders stay with Fullscript. Fullscript Labs is not available to Canadian patients, so the site does not imply lab ordering. In British Columbia, the College's Online Dispensaries guideline (updated October 2024) requires a naturopathic doctor and patient relationship before products are sold through the dispensary, and that patients are told how the dispensary relates to their doctor; the site says so beside the link. | Link or button Connect with us to discuss your individual or enterprise needs. |
| Unytii Unytii. Adjacent service. | Canadian supplement distribution with a referral storefront. | Open the clinic's approved referral storefront. | Link or button Connect with us to discuss your individual or enterprise needs. |
| LifeLabs MyCareCompass LifeLabs. Adjacent service. | Laboratory requisitions, collection appointments and results in the provinces LifeLabs serves. | Follow the clinic's instructions to LifeLabs booking and results after a valid requisition. The website does not order tests or show results. | Link or button Connect with us to discuss your individual or enterprise needs. |
How a website connects to naturopathic clinic software
Most practices run two layers of software. The clinical system holds the record, the schedule and the billing. The patient facing tool is what a patient touches: booking, a refill request, an intake form or a portal. A website connects to the second layer, through whatever the vendor supports, and never replaces the first.
| Route | What it means | Confirmed at proposal |
|---|---|---|
| Link or button | The website sends the patient to the booking page, refill tool, intake form or portal the vendor already hosts. Works with any tool that has a public address, and with the button code some vendors generate. | The address your practice approves for patients, and any rule about new or existing patients. |
| Vendor supported embed | The vendor's own booking or intake component runs inside your page, so the patient does not leave your site. Only where the vendor documents an embed, and only when it works with a keyboard and on a phone, with a plain link as the fallback. | The vendor's current embed documentation, the module enabled on your account, and a test on a phone. |
| Existing vendor connector | Your clinical system already connects to a patient tool (an EMR to Ocean, a practice system to an exercise platform). The website links to that tool; the connection between the two systems is the vendor's, not ours. | The exact product, edition and module on each side, what the connector is permitted to do, and your vendor's confirmation. |
| Routed request | A form Monograph builds sends a refill, transfer, intake or registration request into your own system or a Canadian hosted intake tool, not to a shared inbox and never by plain email. A clinician at your practice still reviews every request. Available in Signature and Platform builds. | The destination your team will work from, who owns it, and where it stores what it receives. |
| Direct connection | New, authenticated data exchange between the website and your system through the vendor's own interface. Only where the vendor grants access, and always scoped, quoted and tested separately before patients use it. | Vendor access or approval, a suitable contract, the defined data flow, a test environment, and who maintains it. |

Questions from naturopathic doctors
Do you build websites for naturopathic clinics across Canada?
Yes. Monograph designs and maintains websites for naturopathic clinics across Canada, from Vancouver. Your copy is written to the advertising standard of your regulatory College and your province, the regulator for your province is confirmed at each review, and your booking and intake forms connect to the systems your naturopathic clinic already runs.
Can we list the conditions we help with?
It depends on your College's current advertising standard, which we check for your province and record. We write the pages so they describe your approach and who you work with in the way the standard permits.
Who reviews the copy?
A naturopathic doctor from our reviewing network, not a pharmacist. Every service page carries the reviewer's name, credential, and the date.
We use Practice Better rather than Jane. Does that change anything?
Only the method. Practice Better documents service, package and program links, a public booking page and an Embedded Booking Widget, so booking can sit inside your page. Jane's route is a button or link to Jane hosted booking. OptiMantra documents a link, a button or an iframe. Each is confirmed against your account before launch.
Can our Fullscript dispensary be on the site?
Yes, as a link or the vendor's button to your Canadian storefront; orders stay with Fullscript. Fullscript Labs is not available to Canadian patients, so the site does not suggest lab ordering. A Unytii referral storefront works the same way. In British Columbia, the College's Online Dispensaries guideline (updated October 2024) requires a naturopathic doctor and patient relationship before products are sold through an online dispensary, and that patients are told how the dispensary relates to their doctor, so the page says that beside the link; we check the current version of your College's guidance at proposal. Product descriptions stay within each product's authorized claims and your College's standard.
Can patients book lab tests from the site?
No. A LifeLabs visit follows a valid requisition from your practitioner. The site carries your instructions and a link to the LifeLabs booking or results portal, and nothing more. We do not build lab ordering or results into a website.
